Playful Banksia

Inspired by a love of Australian native flora and the disciplined skill of slow needlework, this meditative piece is created with watercolour details and natural materials (banksia and feathers) which are hand stitched with natural fibres onto cotton rag paper, using very specific cleaning and archival processes with these naturally ephemeral fibres to ensure their longevity.
