Enveloped by Fire' is inspired by a statue of the dancing Shiva in my studio. Shiva is shown standing on one leg and surrounded by flames. He is the creator and the destroyer. The fire reminds us that nothing new can arise until we have left the past behind. Memories linger and love remains, but casting all else into the flames creates space for life to fully emerge into its next phase. It takes courage to dance in the flames.
