Endless Summer

Hibiscus flowers feel like emblems of endless summer - bold, bright and joyful. Their vivid colours and open forms evoke tropical warmth and escape. I approached this painting loosely and instinctively, letting movement and energy lead rather than detail. Though I don't usually favour red, here it softened among pinks, oranges and golden yellows, creating a calm, balanced harmony.
