Blooming Joy

Hydrangeas have long been a favourite flower of mine. I love their big, cloud-like blooms and their ever-changing colours. They feel a little bit whimsical and it's like can't quite decide what shade they want to be. Inspired by an image in House & Garden Magazine featuring Bonnie Ashley of Bonnie and Neil, I was drawn to its pattern and colour. While painting, I embraced abundance - soft, full, slightly unruly blooms - capturing the simple joy and brightness flowers bring.
