I need to experience things but then use my imagination and let ideas evolve into evocative landscapes and emotionally charged abstractions. I work mainly in acrylics on canvas allowing the work to evolve until I reach the creative point where the painting dictates what I should do next. I love to expose the underlying transparent layers in some areas, whilst covering them in others. More transparent glazing follows building layer upon layer.
